Since Keyser graduated from South Texas College of Law
in 1984, she has distinguished herself as a criminal defense lawyer. She
has won numerous cases, both independently and as a team with James Stafford,
with whom he became associated with in 1986.
After receiving an undergraduate degree
in physical therapy from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches,
Keyser worked as a physical therapist for several years before returning
to school to pursue law. Her background provides insight into science
and medical issues, as well as medical technology and the workings of
the health care system.
A thorough researcher, Keyser has finely
honed analytical and problem-solving skills. She thinks on her feet
and is able to assess a situation quickly, and her personable and warm
manner helps her connect with judges and other lawyers, clients and
juries. These attributes help her excel as a trial lawyer.
Keyser and Stafford often collaborate
on cases, pooling their resources and utilizing their distinctly different
strengths.
Keyser has been involved for several
years with Habitat for Humanity through the Houston Bar Association,
and recently she received a President's Award for Outstanding Service.
She has served on several other Bar committees as well.
